Six months hold on dating.
Do I need to take six months to hold on dating? No, It's not like I'm dating anyone, but I'm now talking with someone. So do my friends, but we decided to go on a six-month no-dating plan. It means we won't date but will talk with a man if needed to get to know them, but not romantically. The idea comes from the book "Your knight in shining armor; by P. B. Wilson."
The idea is to put dating on hold and take the time to get closer to God. Take your single season to get closer to God and get to know yourself. Get to know your worth in God. The book tackles areas such as past hurt that need to be dealt with before you enter marriage. And how to attract the man of your life (is not my focus, thou). The Lord has someone for me if it is His will for me to get married. I don't want my focus to be on God to get a man but to focus on God for who He is. To be content with only Him.
It all started with a birthday gift to a friend. I wanted to give her a gift, but I didn't know what to give. So, I was thinking of giving her a book about finances, but She gave me two books to choose between, and I chose that one. She read it in 5 days and recommended it to another friend. That friend read it in one night. They both liked the book so much that my friend repurchased a gift for me. It was a blessing; I'm still a work in progress.
Be blessed, and stay blessed!
