Don't delay obedience.
Have you ever delayed obedience? The Lord has been telling you this for some time, but still, you aren't doing it. Why?
Some of us may have the same struggle. Sometimes it is because we don't know what the Lord wants from us. We are scared that we've misunderstood the Lord. We would keep asking to be sure if we were right. After He shows us again and we are convinced that that is what He wants, we will do it. That is how it happens to me. Then doubt will flood my mind; what if it doesn't work out? What if He doesn't show up? How will I do this?
Step of Faith
It takes us some time to remember that the Lord has been with us for so long. He has been helping us along the way, but we forget. We forget what He has done for us. We think that this time, He won't help us. This time, my problem is too big, too impossible. Remember, He won't push you from the cliff without catching you. This time, my problem is too big, too impossible. We need to trust, have faith, be obedient and do it.
Easier said than done.
It is easy to say; I will do it, then actually do it. When the time comes to take the step of faith, you need a lot of courage; this is me. While writing this, this is my struggle. My fear is the future, the unknown. Maybe the Lord won't meet me along the way. When I think of all the times I stepped out in faith, He was there, and it makes me want to try again. But my eyes need to stay focused on the Lord and remember his promises.
Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen and called its name Ebenezer; for he said, "Till now the LORD has helped us." (1 Samuel 7:12, ESV)
Moral of the story
We focus too much on the problems that we forget that we are in the process of trusting God. Thank Him for the new opportunity to be tested. He brought you too far to leave you.
I know it is hard, but keep speaking faith into our life and give Lord our problems.
Stay focused on the Lord!
