Have you ever wonder in how much danger you are daily?

Normally, we don't pay attention to the danger we are in daily.

Last weekend on Saturday night, we had a winter storm that made it difficult to travel on Monday. The snow lasted a whole week, every day with its own challenges.

Wednesday was one of the worst days for me. Normally I use my bike to go nearly everywhere, but I never use it in winter. I didn't get the opportunity to do so because holland didn't have harsh winter since 2012. At that time, I didn't own a bike. I bought one around 2014, since then, I saw a little snow in 2017. Fast-forward to 2021, finally, we got some centimeters of snow. At first, on Monday I didn't use my bike because I wanted to see if it's possible. After seeing some people on their bikes in that fresh snow, I took the courage to take mine to work that same day.

Why the worst day?

Wednesday, was the day with more sun and some melting snow. On the way, there were places with a pile of snow that if go through it, it is a death wish. That was one of my experiences that day, where I nearly got hit by a car. Another one is the place where you don't have enough time to make a decision. You don't know which way is better to take.

That's another death wish. I nearly got hit by another car, because I was too absorbed in making decisions that my light changed to red and I was late to hit the brake, so I fell. I mean, my bike fell 😂😂 on the ground, but I was just fast to let him go alone on the floor.

Moral of the story.

I could clearly see God's protection in my life that day. Seeing how close I was from getting into accidents that didn't happened. Going by bike is not without risk as going by car isn't either. The fact that the bike path was not cleaned put the bikers in a lot of danger.
