It's that time of the year, winter!

I live in the Netherlands, where people wish the whole year to be summer. You can feel the gloominess when it's raining, foggy or icy. It's that time of the year, winter!

Many people here enjoy sunny days; they like to drink at terras or go to the beach. But when it's raining, it's drama. Let's not even talk about snow.

I don't dislike any season if I'm fully covered, but I must be honest: winter is the best time to be home under your hot blanket with hot chocolate instead of outside. There are also great things to do in the winter, like ice skating. This year, I want to enjoy every season as best as possible.

It's also that time of the year that makes me think about how blessed I am. I have a warm home, and I can make hot chocolate and sleep under a warm blanket, then search for a place to sleep every day. Being in the cold and trying to stay warm outside.

For this year, I have some plans for the winter season; let's call it winter season memory. I want to enjoy this winter as no other winter.

My plans are:

• Ice skating

• 6 days trip to Finland, Sweden, and Estonia

• Holiday on Ice - ice-skating show

• Art below zero - for ice sculptures exposition, and also I can make my own ice sculptures

• Lights show

• 
  

I'm already excited for this winter. Let's enjoy this beautiful but challenging weather together.
