The masked world!

Do you see it? What have we become?

Last year, we all thought 2020 would be a great year.

A year where all my plans will come through,

A year where all my problems will be resolved.

But look! What did we get?

A year with a lot of restrictions,

During a year with a lot of protests,

A year with a lot of pestilences, famines, and fires.

A year where everyone wants to fight for their rights.

Which right? We don't even have that!

Freedom of speech? We don't even have that as well!

We have been lied to that it is for our good.

But is it like that?

We all walk around with masks thinking it is to protect us and others.

Is it like that?

This MASKED WORLD is something I never thought would happen.

A masked world that looks like a horror movie, but it is the reality.

The reality because it is the NEW normal.

A normal where we protect others while losing the only thing that protects us.

Our freedom; freedom of speech, religion, and being free.

We trust the government more than anything, as if they care for us. All for the sake of a virus. We've lost ourselves.

Thinking they want to protect us. Really? Do they?

The NEW normal, we can't sing in churches.

The NEW normal, we can't socialize.

The NEW normal, we need a vaccine to protect us so we can return to normal.

In the NEW normal, we must wear a mask to protect others.

The NEW normal, we can't travel how we used to.

In the NEW normal, we are forced to behave a certain way or fined.

The NEW normal is causing laws to be enforced. For the sake of protection?

In the NEW normal, we live in fear of dying of a virus.

In the NEW normal, more and more people are losing their jobs, have no money, and are getting into debt.

All our peace is being taken away with an app telling us who is infected.

It's like spying on your neighbor and reporting them while they are also a citizen as you are.

It is for the protection of yourself that is being selfish. You care only about yourself, not others.

You think you do, they tell you that, but it is all about you. For you to feel safe, right?

This is the normal, the NEW normal. It will stay and strip you away from all your freedom.

The masked world;

The representation of we can't speak till we can take it off.

We can't normally breathe until we take it off.

Only when we are told to.

Who are you? The loss of your identity!
